Hello, I’m Monalika, an Outreachy Intern at Open Food Facts for summer 2023.
I worked on the producers platform to help improving it to the next level !
What’s your highlight of the project?
I’m enticed by the vision of Open Food Facts to promote food transparency and help people make informed choices about what they eat.

What’s your wish for the next 10 years for Open Food Facts ?
I wish Open Food Facts to more globally expand to cover even more countries and regions, making it a truly global resource.
Favorite feature on Open Food Facts ?
Suggestion of food products according to our preference is the most I like.
Favorite book ?
“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee.

Outreachy internships are:
💵 Paid – $7,000 USD total internship stipend
🌍 Remote – both interns and mentors work remotely
🕰 3 months – internships run May to August, or December to March
