At the heart of our association: a look back at the last General Assembly
On 1 July 2026, more than thirty people attended the Open Food Facts Annual General Meeting. As every year, the event was open to all and was held in English, so that everyone could take part in the discussions!
Activities in 2025
The meeting began with the presentation of the annual activity report (which was unanimously approved by those present). The 2025 accounts were also presented and approved.
Elections
Five people were elected to the Board of Directors: congratulations to Alex Bourreau, Eloïse Prévôt, Lise Chauvin, Marianne Gigandet and Thomas Sauvage! They join the Board for a three-year term.
Motions
This year, a motion was tabled to amend Article 13 of the association’s articles of association. In practical terms, the Board of Directors may appoint up to two people who have not been elected to the Board, in order to include individuals with specific skills or expertise necessary for the running of the association. This amendment was approved and the Board of Directors must now convene an extraordinary general meeting to adopt this change to the articles of association.
Discussions
Finally, the General Meeting concluded with discussions on new initiatives that could be launched. Mention was also made of the organisation of the 2026 Open Food Facts Days, which will take place at the Académie du Climat in Paris on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November.
